SOPHIA FOR CHILDREN

Sophia for Children is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation registered in Cyprus and dedicated to fighting poverty and its adverse effects, with a focus on the most vulnerable group in society - children. The organisation is mainly active in Kenya and aims to provide protection and care, accommodation and food, medical care and, above all, education to children in need.

OUR CONTRIBUTION

SIGG supports Sophia for Children by providing clean water to hard-to-reach schools and communities that are affected by long-term droughts and devastating natural disasters as a result of climate change. We donate all proceeds from the sale of the four Sophia for Children drinking bottles that you can purchase in our web shop to Sophia for Children. By purchasing one of our three Hot & Cold One 0.5-L bottles H&C Leopard, H&C Elephant and H&C Lion, or our children's Sophia Giraffe drinking bottle in the 0.4-L size, you are directly helping the children in Kenya.

WATER IS LIFE

Water is life - nowhere is this more evident than in the drought-stricken, water-scarce region of Turkana. Women and children, mostly girls, travel many kilometers every day, digging in the dried-up riverbeds in search of water. The journey home is painful. In addition, the daily search for water and food is the main reason why girls do not go to school. Sophia for Children has built a water well that benefits the children of the school and the communities in the Karoge area. The organization also takes care of its maintenance. The mechanical well provides clean water for people and also for animals. Under the motto "Water is life", SIGG has designed and developed a special edition of unique bottles that will be donated to Sophia for Children to provide clean water to schools in Kenya.
