ONE TREE PLANTED

One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organization focused on reforestation around the world. Its projects are carried out in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create an impact for nature, people and wildlife. Reforestation helps rebuild forests after fires and floods, create social jobs and restore biodiversity. Many projects have overlapping goals, creating a combination of benefits that contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

OUR CONTRIBUTION

We are working with One Tree Planted to support the sustainable reforestation of devastated rainforest - currently in Sumatra. As part of this project, participating farmers will establish a series of mixed agroforestry plots for white pepper on Bangka Island, totaling over 60 hectares. This project is a true community project. Through the capacity building program, pepper farmers will receive the training and resources they need to implement mixed agroforestry systems on their farms, while also serving as a role model for others. In this way, participating farmers will become key players in the success of this tree planting effort on their own land.
