PCR = POST CONSUMER RECYCLING
PCR stands for post-consumer recycling. After a product has reached the end of its useful life, the material it is made of is recycled and used to make new goods. The PCR material used in our production in Frauenfeld is remanufactured aluminum, made from recycled high-voltage wires, printing plates, etc. The aluminum comes from Europe and is known for its durability and low loss of quality during the recycling process. It is also lightweight and therefore contributes sustainably to reducing the carbon footprint caused by transport. Most importantly, a bottle made of PCR aluminum can be recycled again after many years of use!

With the SWISS MADE Traveller MyPlanet™ bottle, we are taking sustainability to a whole new level: The reusable bottle made of 100% recycled aluminum combines durability, design and everyday suitability with an excellent ecological balance. After only five uses, the bottle has a better average CO2 balance than PET bottles. Like all of our aluminum bottles, it is very light and robust, so it can be used for many years.
CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCED BY 54%!
According to calculations by ClimatePartner (a leading international consultancy in the field of climate protection, carbon accounting, reduction and compensation), the carbon footprint of aluminum bottles is 23% smaller than the carbon footprint of stainless steel bottles (single-walled). In addition, the carbon footprint of bottles made of PCR aluminum is 54% smaller than the carbon footprint of stainless steel bottles (single-walled).*
In addition, if reusable drinking bottles are used instead of PET bottles**, aluminum bottles have a better CO2 balance after just 8 uses, and the PCR aluminum bottle has a lower CO2 consumption after just five uses.*
