SOPHIA FOR CHILDREN
Sophia for Children is a non-profit organization that helps the most vulnerable social group - children. It is mainly active in Kenya and provides food, shelter, medical care and education to children in need. The organization's latest mission is to renovate the well at Makarios Children's Home, a goal that we believe deserves support.
3-COUNTRY MARATHON
On October 9, 2022, our SIGG 'Running for Water' team took part in the 3-country marathon starting in Lindau and ran distances from 10.9 km to 21.097 km with the aim of raising money for the Sophia for Children organization.
GOAL ACHIEVED
We are delighted that, together with our partners, we exceeded our target and raised more than EUR 20,000! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners who supported our initiative and the SIGG employees who participated in the 3-country marathon!
MAKARIOS CHILDREN'S HOME
The donation will help Sophia for Children to build a water well at Makarios Children's Home in Nyeri, Kenya, an orphanage run by the organization. The well will provide the children with both a green environment to enjoy and the nutrition they need to grow and develop.
