Memorable design
The iconic bottle design has had a permanent place in New York's Museum of Modern Arts since 1993. The typical shape of the SIGG 1.0 L and 0.6 L water bottles with their distinctively designed lids has become a symbolic image. In addition to the classic blue and red bottles, the Swiss company has expanded its range to include other colours and patterns. For certain product ranges, the company has worked with renowned fashion labels and designers such as Keith Haring.
Water bottles for children, athletes and everyone
Following the success story of the original SIGG aluminium bottle, the company has expanded its product range to include high-quality bottles made of glass, tritan and polypropylene, whilst still focusing on its core values of sustainability and versatility. For children, there are smaller bottles with fun designs as well as caps that are easier to use. For athletes and outdoor adventurers, SIGG has developed lightweight bottles made of polypropylene that are completely free of harmful substances such as BPA or phthalates. SIGG has also expanded its Hot & Cold range of thermo flasks to include bottles made of stainless steel and even glass.
SIGG drink bottles are available in different sizes: From small 0.3 L and 0.4 L bottles for children to medium-sized 0.5 L and 0.6 L bottles to large water bottles and thermo flasks in 0.75 L, 1.0 L and 1.5 L.
The right accessories add the finishing touch to every drink bottle
Whilst continuing to focus on the sustainable aspect of SIGG bottles the Swiss company offers, among other things, various caps for its water bottles. This makes bottles multifunctional in many ways. Are SIGG bottles suitable for microwave use?
The bottles must not be placed in the microwave, on a hot stove, in a hot oven or in the freezer.
Can hot water be poured into an aluminum bottle?
Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat. This means that the temperature of the liquid is also noticeable on the outside of the
drinking bottle. We therefore recommend filling it with water at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
What liquids can I store in SIGG drinking bottles?
All SIGG drinking bottles have been tested with many different types of drinks, such as acidic drinks, carbonated drinks, milk, alcohol, apple and lemon juice, etc. However, we do not recommend leaving drinks with natural fermentation processes, such as apple juice or milk, in the bottle for long periods of time. This natural process can encourage bacterial growth and create gases and strong odors that are difficult to eliminate.
Are the water bottles leak-proof?
All SIGG caps are waterproof. But caps and seals are also subject to normal wear and tear from intensive use. We recommend not washing the bottle cap in the dishwasher, but removing it, rinsing it with hot water and letting it air dry. It is often also helpful to replace the bottle seal where possible. This is available as a spare part from retailers and in our web shop.
What is the best way to clean aluminum/glass/plastic bottles?
For aluminum bottles: Use cleaning tablets or mild detergent; do not put in the dishwasher.
For glass bottles: Clean by hand only, no chlorine or bleach, use soft cloths/sponges.
For plastics ( e.g., Tritan, polypropylene): Although partially dishwasher safe, hand washing with a mild detergent is recommended to avoid damaging printing ink, etc.
