A modern metal closure with a carrying handle, a wider opening and easy cleaning are the values of the Original bottle. It is 100% leak-proof even with carbonated drinks and upside down, whenever you need both hands free. The material is free of harmful chemicals, such as estrogen-mimicking substances and phthalates. The multi-layered inner liner holds up a lot of stress (eg bumps) and guarantees a safer drinking enjoyment. This SIGG product is CO2-neutral.

IT ALL STARTED HERE
The story of our Original bottle begins in the 1930s, when it helped establish a tradition of high-quality Swiss-made aluminium containers. Through the decades we never strayed far from what made the Original so beloved from the beginning. Both the form factor of the bottle and its distinctive top look strikingly similar to the very first model. Though the design has been refined and perfected through the years it would still be recognizable to the customers who first embraced it.

The Original bottle is produced locally in Switzerland at our Frauenfeld facility to ensure the utmost quality. We are proud to say that the Original is made from a single piece of 100% recycled aluminium and has been certified climate neutral. Swiss culture had always had an enduring love and respect for the natural wonders of our world, and this is reflected in our carefully considered production methods. It’s standard procedure for every bottle to undergo strict quality checks to ensure they leave the production line in perfect condition.
