RECYCLING & MATERIALS

To offer a wide range of drinking bottles in all shapes and sizes, SIGG is using different materials to meet everyone’s expectation. All ingredients used for SIGG bottles are BPA-free. All SIGG raw materials used for the bottles and all inks used for printing are also BPA-free. We test all materials and parts of our bottles before they go to production and we carry out additional tests at third-party laboratories before the products go on the market.

ALUMINIUM

SIGG aluminium drinking bottles are manufactured from a single piece of high-quality aluminium. This light metal is considered to be almost indestructible. The interior coating is resistant to fruit acid, remains tasteless, and is free of harmful pollutants. All aluminium bottles are produced in our own production in Frauenfeld, Switzerland and can be recycled. Learn more about our aluminium

18/8 STAINLESS STEEL

SIGG uses high-quality stainless steel for all vacuum insulated flasks and the Explorer bottles. 18/8 stainless steel is extremely durable and stands for timeless elegance. Stainless steel drinking bottles also offer optimal hygienic conditions and remain odorless. After your stainless steel bottle has been a reliable companion for years, you can completely recycle it at the end.

GLASS

Glass bottles are good for both you and the environment. The material is food safe, resistant to odors, funky tastes, or discoloration, and is free of harmful pollutants. Our Star, Dream and Hot & Cold glass bottles are made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass. Stella bottles are made of molten glass which consists sand, soda and other hand-picked components. The lid of our glass bottles is coated in 18/8 stainless steel from the inside, meaning drinks only come into contact with stainless steel and glass. Drinking bottles made of glass create a pleasurable drinking experience and are completely recyclable.

TRITAN

The patented plastic material Tritan is absolutely free of harmful pollutants such as estrogen-active substances and phthalates. The material looks like glass, but is light as a feather, unbreakable, tasteless and odorless, as well as dishwasher safe up to 90°C. As all our other materials, Tritan is recyclable as well.

POLYPROPYLENE

Polypropylene is a thermally resilient plastic material which we are using for our VIVA and Hero bottles. The characteristics of Polypropylene are perfect for a long-lasting bottle: it is elastic, tough and fatigue resistant. The high quality and reusable drinking bottles made out of polypropylene are 100% recyclable and free of harmful pollutants.
