Frequently Asked Questions
We're here for you. You can find answers to frequently asked questions in our FAQ section here . Otherwise, contact us directly via the contact form for further information.

Are SIGG bottles suitable for microwave use?
The bottles must not be placed in the microwave, on a hot stove, in a hot oven or in the freezer.
Can hot water be poured into an aluminum bottle?
Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat. This means that the temperature of the liquid is also noticeable on the outside of the
drinking bottle. We therefore recommend filling it with water at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
What liquids can I store in SIGG drinking bottles?
All SIGG drinking bottles have been tested with many different types of drinks, such as acidic drinks, carbonated drinks, milk, alcohol, apple and lemon juice, etc. However, we do not recommend leaving drinks with natural fermentation processes, such as apple juice or milk, in the bottle for long periods of time. This natural process can encourage bacterial growth and create gases and strong odors that are difficult to eliminate.
Are the water bottles leak-proof?
All SIGG caps are waterproof. But caps and seals are also subject to normal wear and tear from intensive use. We recommend not washing the bottle cap in the dishwasher, but removing it, rinsing it with hot water and letting it air dry. It is often also helpful to replace the bottle seal where possible. This is available as a spare part from retailers and in our web shop.
What is the best way to clean aluminum/glass/plastic bottles?
For aluminum bottles: Use cleaning tablets or mild detergent; do not put in the dishwasher.
For glass bottles: Clean by hand only, no chlorine or bleach, use soft cloths/sponges.
For plastics ( e.g., Tritan, polypropylene): Although partially dishwasher safe, hand washing with a mild detergent is recommended to avoid damaging printing ink, etc.

A wide range of SIGG bottle accessories
As well as their world-class design, SIGG products stand out from the crowd thanks to the many possibilities that numerous accessories provide. In order to use your water bottle to the fullest and make it your own, you can try out different bottle caps and lids, neoprene and nylon pockets, handles for big and small bottles, and bottle spare parts if something gets lost.
One bottle - many caps - many possibilities
A SIGG bottle can be used for many different things, simply by changing the bottle cap. That's why we offer caps for every occasion. For example, our classic "Traveller" bottle can be used with the Retro Top, the Screw Top or the 3 Stage Sport Top. All other SIGG bottles also have a screw system that can be used to mix and match many different caps. Whether it's the classic narrow-neck bottle or the Wide Mouth Bottle (WMB), you'll always find the right cap with our adapters.
Reusable and environmentally friendly
You should clean your SIGG water bottle regularly so you can enjoy it for a long time to come. As cleaning water bottles with a narrow neck can be especially difficult, you can find popular bottle cleaning tablets and bottle brush cleaners in the SIGG accessories to keep your bottle as good as new. The cleaning tablets dissolve in the water inside the bottle and remove the residue of your drinks from the inside walls. Use the bottle cleaner brush to get the last stubborn bits of residue out of your bottle and you're ready to use it again!
Accessories for all of our products
Your water bottle should be exactly what you want it to be, and this is possible thanks to our wide range of accessories. Even if you lose a part during your next adventure or the seal of your favourite bottle needs to be replaced after prolonged use, you can find the right bottle spare part in our online shop.
It’s not all about bottles
SIGG also provides spare parts and accessories for our aluminium lunch boxes and stainless steel food jars. These include, for example, silicone inserts, dividers and seals, as well as cups, bowls and cutlery to give you the perfect lunch break.
