We offset all unavoidable CO2 emissions from the aluminium bottles collection by supporting different climate action projects. As a result of this, the aluminium bottles collection is certified climate-neutral.
PCR = POST CONSUMER RECYCLING
PCR stands for Post Consumer Recycling. After a product has reached the end of its use the material it is made of is being recycled and utilised in the production of new goods. The PCR material used in our production in Frauenfeld is reprocessed aluminium made from recycled high voltage wires, printing plates etc. The aluminium comes from Europe and is known for for longevity and no loss of quality during recycling process. It is also lightweight and therefore contributes sustainably to reducing traffic-related carbon footprints. Most importantly – after many years of use, a bottle made of PCR aluminium material can be recycled again!

With the SWISS MADE Traveller MyPlanet™ we are taking sustainability to a whole new level: the re-usable bottle made from 100% recycled aluminium combines durability, design, and suitability for everyday use with an outstanding eco-balance. After just 5 uses the bottle has a better average CO2 balance than PET bottles. Like all our aluminium bottles it is very light and robust so that it can be used for many years.
CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCED BY 54%!
According to the calculations of ClimatePartner (a leading international consultancy in the field of climate protection, CO2 balance sheets, reduction and compensation) the CO2 footprint of aluminium bottles is 23% lower then the CO2 footprint of stainless-steel bottles (single-walled). Furthermore, the CO2 footprint of bottles made of PCR aluminium is 54% lower than CO2 footprint of stainless-steel bottles (single-walled).*
In addition, if reusable drinking bottles are used instead of PET bottles**, then aluminium bottles have a better CO2 balance already after 8th use, and the PCR aluminium bottle already uses less CO2 after being used five times.*
